Happy second day of Autumn:
It is once again the time of the year we dig into the back of our closet and drag out our winter clothes . If you like me and you have not been dieting, then it is not a big surprise that some of our winter outfits are one size to small.
After my emotional breakdown of shock, denial, and then finally anger, I was left with two choices to ponder upon. I can try dieting for the next two months and limit what I eat during the thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays, or I can buy new clothes and promise myself that my 2015 new year’s resolution is to lose 30 pounds. I pick limiting my eating habit and workout.
With a heavy heart, I gather all my one size to small winter wears and took inventory on each item. Once I finished taking inventory I head over to the good will store and hand over my winter clothes and they hand me a receipt for my one size to small winter wears . I know you are asking yourself why did I record all the items I am giving away? The reason I took inventory is to claim itemized charitable donation on my next year income tax. So all is not lost.
For my son winter wear, I have started sewing his flannel pants. His pants are so super easy to make, It took me about one hour to complete his first pair of pants. I have two more pants to complete however, I am also working on building my Christmas inventory for black Friday sale and Christmas sale. As a result, it might take me a bit longer to start sewing his second and third pants. Here are some pictures of his pants and a picture of one of Christmas pillow in my Etsy store https://www.etsy.com/shop/Cgmcdesigns.
Let me know what you think?
